This year was an important milestone in our company’s history. We transformed into a joint-stock company, and a 30% stake was acquired by the Swedish company Spray Ventures. We managed to capture 53% of the market, double our turnover, and increase profit to 2.23 million CZK. Our homepage became a true gateway, offering a wide range of services. In addition to Email, we started offering maps, weather, TV program, translation dictionary, and job search links. Simply put, anyone who needed to find something on the Czech internet or was looking for an electronic service at the beginning of the new millennium headed to Seznam.cz. Our pages were also adapted for the visually impaired, for which we received the Blindfriendly certificate at the time.
