Disabling Two-Factor Authentication

If you decide to stop using the added security of two-factor authentication, you can disable it in your Account Settings. Please note that after disabling 2FA, you will no longer receive notifications about attempts to log into your account.

To disable two-factor authentication, follow these steps:

2. In your account settings, remove all verification devices. If you have more than one set up, you’ll need to remove them one by one. You can find the instructions in the Help section under Removing a Verification Device.

Once you remove and confirm the removal of the last verification device, two-factor authentication will be turned off. You will no longer be asked to confirm logins on any device.

Please note: if you previously set up and used a separate password for your email clients, this password will no longer be valid. You’ll need to update your email app or program to use the same password you use to sign in to your email account.
