An authentication app is a simple tool for your phone that displays a numeric code to verify your sign-in. Each account or service has its own unique code, which changes regularly.
When used together with your password, it adds another layer of protection to your account – like having a second key to a lock.
You can download it for free from the app store, just like any other app. Popular options include Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy, but you can use a different one if you prefer.

How does it work?
- When you enable two-factor authentication in your Seznam Account, the system will prompt you to link the app.
- In the app, select Add new account and scan the QR code shown in your Account (or enter the code manually if you cannot scan the QR code).
- That’s it – your account will appear in the app, along with a six-digit code that changes every 30 seconds.
When you want to sign in, simply open the app, enter the code, and you’re done. A simple step for greater convenience and security.
