Seznam.cz offers its users an optional way to enhance the security of their user account and login password.
Each user has the option to verify their contact email address. This information can later be used if you request to recover a forgotten password. The password change can then be confirmed by a message sent to the verified email address, or you may be notified about a password change and given the option to reject and cancel it.
Important: For the recovery email feature to work, you need to set an email address that you own. If you change your email address, don’t forget to update it in your Account settings.
How to add and verify your contact email
Log in to your Account and go to the Account Security section.
On the line Recovery email for password reset, click the Set link on the right. We may ask you to verify that the account is really yours before proceeding.
A form to verify your email address will appear.
In the field Enter email address, type your full email address and click Send authorization code to email.
After sending the verification code, a field will appear for entering the authorization code you received.
An email titled Authorization code for setting up a recovery email will be sent to the address you entered. Copy the code from the message and paste it into the Authorization code field in your account.
After entering and confirming the code, the address will be marked as verified.
