Seznam is fair
- The development and use of artificial intelligence are conducted in accordance with the law, and ethics play a significant role in our considerations.
- We continuously educate ourselves and consider the long-term consequences of our decisions.
- We are a significant Czech publisher with a strong belief in the value of original content, and therefore we strive for a maximally fair approach to other creators. We negotiate fair arrangements with these partners directly and at the level of collective management and professional organizations.
- We respect the disapproval of websites regarding the use of their content by artificial intelligence, and we expect the same from global platforms.
- Before we release our AI-powered services to the world, we thoroughly test them.
- Some things don’t change. We see value in people, support them, and utilize their talents and skills. We view artificial intelligence as an evolution and an additional means to develop and improve their work.
Seznam is user-oriented
- The main purpose of artificial intelligence in our services is to make it easier and better for people to use our services.
- We help people consume content more easily and access trustworthy and useful information. Artificial intelligence helps us deliver it to users in more convenient formats, such as summarized articles, discussions and reviews, audio versions of articles, or local news narrated by synthetic voices.
- We target advertising to be relevant to users. Conversely, our artificial intelligence helps advertisers achieve better results in campaigns.
- We do not harm anyone. We care about the health and safety of our users. This applies doubly for children and adolescents.
- We do not give up human oversight of outputs. We monitor AI outputs, provide feedback, and use human editors.
- Although we use artificial intelligence to monitor content on our services, only human editors are allowed to make moderation interventions.
Seznam builds on authenticity and truthfulness
- Through artificial intelligence tools, we support quality, relevant, and trustworthy content sources. We recommend it on the homepage, in the Newsfeed, and other Seznam services.
- We prefer original content with high added authorial value. We limit or reject fully generated content.
- On social platforms, we prioritize quality posts over those that merely provoke an immediate emotional response.
- We do not generate fake content (fraudulent pages, fake reviews, etc.).
- We do not generate or parrot misinformation. On the contrary, we use artificial intelligence to detect factually incorrect statements and correct them.
- We suppress biases in our artificial intelligence to the greatest extent possible.
Seznam is transparent
- We explain to people how we show and rank content and what factors we consider.
- Editorial content follows clear editorial procedures for working with artificial intelligence tools. Generative AI tools cannot serve as the sole source of information.
- We always cite original sources of information.
Seznam is Czech
- We aim to provide the best artificial intelligence in the Czech language.
- The privacy of our users comes first:
- We primarily engage our artificial intelligence running on our servers in the Czech Republic.
- In the case of external language models, we limit and anonymize the data sent.
