Media Education Festival

Every summer we organize the Media Education Festival, the only event of its kind in the Czech Republic, aimed at educators and librarians. The multi-day festival consists of workshops, demonstration lessons, and visits to local newsrooms.

We are preparing the fifth meeting of media enthusiasts and experts on media literacy topics just for you. The Media Education Festival will take place this year from August 18th to 20th at the Na Zatlance Grammar School in Prague, and its price is 2500 CZK excluding VAT. You can look forward to demonstration lessons and methodologies prepared by all major players involved in media education. These include JSNS, NFNZ, Fakescape, UPOL, Transitions, ČT Edu, Konsent, Faketicky, and AI dětem. You can also find inspiration in methodologies prepared by libraries such as the Tábor Municipal Library, Litvínov Municipal Library, or the South Bohemian Scientific Library in České Budějovice. The program also includes excursions to the Seznam Zprávy newsroom, Czech Radio, or Czech Television.

Who can register for the Media Education Festival?

The Media Education Festival is primarily intended for media literacy educators, namely teachers and librarians.

Can I pay the registration fee for the festival on-site?

Unfortunately, this is not possible; payment can only be made cashlessly based on an issued invoice.

How and when can I register for individual lectures?

Based on the paid invoice sent to the interested party who has registered, we will send you a link that will direct you to the reservation system for individual lectures and lessons.

If I cannot attend the festival, do you refund the money?

We approach each request for a refund of the registration fee individually. Compelling reasons for a refund may include serious personal issues or health complications.

Is there barrier-free access to the festival?

We organize the festival at the Na Zatlance Grammar School in Prague, where unfortunately there is no barrier-free access.
