This option is available if a verified recovery email address was previously set up for the account.
To use this recovery method, you must have access to the recovery email address — we will send an authorization code to that address, which you’ll use to set a new password.
4. Send a Recovery Code to Your Recovery Email
- Select the email recovery method.
- In the next step, you’ll see a hint showing the email address to which the code will be sent. This is the verified address linked to your account — no other address can be used.
- Click the Continue button.
- Shortly, you’ll receive an email titled “Authorization Code for…” sent to that address.
Can’t recognize the address? Don’t have access to it?
Unfortunately, in that case, you won’t be able to recover your password via email.
If you see an option to switch to phone recovery or Bank Identity, try recovering your password via SMS or BankID.
If phone recovery is not available either, the account does not have a verified phone number or Bank Identity, and the password cannot be recovered.
5. Open the Password Recovery Email You Received
- Do not leave the recovery form page.
- Open your email inbox (linked to your verified recovery address) in a new browser tab or on another device.
- Locate and open the email titled “Authorization Code for…”
- Copy or write down the code and enter it into the Authorization Code field on the recovery form page.
- Click Continue to proceed.
6. Set a New Password
- After clicking Continue, you’ll see a field to set your new password. Make sure to choose a strong password. We recommend reviewing our Password Security Guidelines.
- Enter the new password twice and click Create New Password to save it.
- Option Log in without changing the password is for exceptional cases where you’re absolutely sure you know the password (e.g., stored in a password manager) and are certain it hasn’t been compromised.
However, we strongly recommend that you always set a new password after recovering access to keep your account secure. - Once the new password is saved, click Go to Login to access the sign-in page and log in with your newly created password.
