What is Seznam Event Measurement (SEM)?

Seznam Event Measurement is an advanced interaction measurement system with full support for Google Consent Mode v2 and server-side integration. It allows you to collect accurate 1st party data with support for Google Consent Mode v2.

Do I need to stop using my current scripts immediately?

No. You implement SEM alongside your existing measurement scripts, and both setups can run in parallel. Only after you verify the data in the test environment do you switch to SEM. The switch itself is irreversible, so we recommend testing everything thoroughly first.

What happens if I deploy SEM on my website but do not remove the old measurement codes at the same time?

The codes can run side by side without any issues. This allows you to test SEM thoroughly before you fully switch your account over to it. Remove the old codes from your website only after switching the account, when they are no longer needed. They will not interfere with the new measurement in the meantime.

When will the original codes stop working?

We will discontinue support for the existing conversion and retargeting codes in the future. We will let you know the date well in advance. However, we recommend not waiting for support to end and starting to use the benefits of SEM as soon as possible.

Is it possible to measure a mobile app with SEM? If so, what exactly can be measured?

Yes, if you use a server-to-server implementation. You will not be able to measure the number of downloads, but you can measure what happens directly inside the app, along with all standard events tracked by SEM.

Does deploying SEM require updates to the cookie banner, GDPR documentation, or terms and conditions?

Updating the cookie banner, GDPR documentation, or terms and conditions is not necessary. Just make sure your terms and conditions include information about what data you send to Sklik.

How long does implementation take?

It depends on the implementation type. Activation in a ready-made module takes just a few clicks. Deployment via the GTM template takes a matter of hours. A custom implementation takes 1-2 days.
